Distributed Art Publishers,Inc.(D.A.P) was founded in downtown New York by Daniel Power, Archer Fields Press, and Parkett Art Publishers in 1990. Their goal was to supply international art books to the wider American marketplace that were not easily accessible at the time. Today, D.A.P. exclusively represents major American museum publishers including MoMA, The Art Institute of Chicago, and the Guggenheim Museum. In addition, D.A.P represents independent international publishers and maintains a small in-house publishing program. Over the past two decades, D.A.P. has distinguished itself as a leader of the most up-to-date selection of books, special editions, and rare publications from an array of the world's most respected publishers, museums, and cultural institutions.
